Many women wonder if they will have back pain during pregnancy, and how bad it will be if they do get it.

Back pain during pregnancy is caused during carrying extra pounds and pressure during the pregnancy, as well as changes going on inside your body when you are with child.

The new weight that you are carrying can strongly affect your spine – leading you to experience stresses, pains or discomfort.

If you want to find a way to get rid of the pain you should talk to your doctor before you take any medications. However, you can try using hot and cold packs – but don’t apply them directly to your skin and make sure they’re not that hot!

You might also assume that if you have immense back pain you should be on bed rest, however research studies have shown that too much bed rest is bad for your back. This also shows that you should try different sleeping positions at night and not always stay in the same position.

Small amounts of exercise may also help release the stress on your back.
