Pregnant woman are advised each winter to get a flu shot to prevent illness during their pregnancy, however a new study is suggesting that getting the flu shot during pregnancy may offer another benefit to the baby, and that’s preventing an increased risk of schizophrenia.

The study was conducted on the brains of rhesus monkey babies by the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Interesting! We hope a new study comes out soon!
